These Terms of Use apply to Interactive Chemistry, an app published by Petalform LLC ("Petalform," "we," or "us"). By using Interactive Chemistry, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Using Interactive Chemistry

Interactive Chemistry teaches chemistry through guided lessons, simulated experiments and a Sandbox Lab. You may use it for lawful personal and educational purposes. Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorized access to it or the services it uses.

Simulations are not laboratory guidance

Virtual experiments are educational simulations based on simplified models. They are not a laboratory safety or real-world chemical handling guide. Many chemicals shown in the app are hazardous in real life; real experiments require proper supervision, protective equipment and procedures. Do not rely on the app to decide how to handle, mix, store or dispose of real chemicals.

Accuracy

We work to make the chemistry correct within the app's stated models and assumptions, which are described in the app under About. The app may still contain errors or simplifications, and it does not replace your teacher, textbook or course materials.

Full Chemistry unlock

Some chapters, chemicals and lab equipment require the Full Chemistry unlock, a one-time, non-renewing in-app purchase. It is sold and billed by Apple or Google under their terms, including their refund policies. The unlock is tied to your App Store or Google Play account; use Restore purchases to unlock it on another device signed in to the same account. Future lessons added to the app are included at no extra cost while the app is offered.

Your data

Your progress and saved experiments are stored on your device and are not backed up by us. Deleting the app or using Reset progress may permanently remove them. See the Privacy Policy for how information is handled.

Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue features or content. The app and any related services are provided subject to availability.

Disclaimer and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Interactive Chemistry is provided "as is" and without warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that the content is error-free.

To the extent permitted by law, Petalform will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of Interactive Chemistry, including any use of its content outside the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
